Senior center's activity schedule
The Cresskill Senior Activy Center, located at 38 Spring St., welcomes any Bergen County senior 55 and older. Center hours are Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. For more information, call Donnajo Pascetta, director, at 201-503-9831.

n Line dancing at 10 a.m.
n Free blood pressure screening on the fourth Monday of every month. No appointment is needed.
Tuesdays
n Intermediate bridge lessons at 10 a.m.

n All day bridge for intermediate players from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Students, seniors use computers
Northern Valley Regional High School at Demarest FBLA club members will host the third Annual Senior Citizen/Student Computer sharing on Wednesday, May 7 and Wednesday, May 14 from 3 to 4:30 p.m. in the Demarest High School Library.
Students and faculty advisors will work one-to-one with senior citizens to address specific questions regarding any aspect of computer usage that is of particular interest. In the past, topics ranging from Internet and e-mail usage, Microsoft Office applications uses and digital camera and Adobe Photoshop basics have been taught.

SESCIL offers weight loss options
The Southeast Senior Center (SESCIL) offers a Pounds Off class every Monday morning at 10 a.m.
SESCIL offers other exercise classes for seniors, including Aerobics, Stretch and Flex, Yoga, Tai Chi, Belly Dancing and Chi Kung.
SESCIL is located at 228 Grand Ave. in Englewood. Those interested in becoming members can call 201-569-4080 to make an appointment.
Support group updates meeting time
The Southeast Senior Center for Independent Living, 228 Grand Ave., offers a Bereavement Support Group.
The group meets twice a month, on Thursdays at 1 p.m.
Membership at SESCIL and all programs are free of charge to seniors 55 and older.

Music appreciation classes scheduled
Music appreciation classes are twice a month on Tuesdays at 3 p.m., at the Southeast Senior Center for Independent Living (SESCIL), 228 Grand Ave., Englewood.

Community Chest awards grant to SESCIL
The Community Chest of Englewood has awarded the Southeast Senior Center for Independent Living (SESCIL), 228 Grand Ave. in Englewood, a grant of $7,500 for its senior programs. The Senior Center serves 11 communities in the surrounding area with approximately 700 coming from the Englewood and Englewood Cliffs area.
The Chest has been supporting the organization for years, thanks to the generosity of the local residents and businesses in the community. The grant has provided the center’s senior programs to expand and flourish during this period of time.
In the period for which the grant is given, SESCIL will continue to offer a range of services to seniors in southeast Bergen County. The center’s medical and health services include access to a registered nurse, a podiatrist and a low fee dentistry program, where seniors can make appointments to dental services at 50 percent or lower than usual dentistry fees.
The Southeast Senior Center for Independent Living is an independent, non-profit agency open to all seniors 55 years of age and older living in southeast Bergen County. Membership is free. For more information about the center and its programs, call 201-569-4080.
